It was inexpensive to get started and handled most situations. It is hard to buy sight unseen but this was a good choice. I think a 6.4 action would be better but you don't know until you try it out. The main thing is to get started and try it in your fishing situations. I used it on a large stream, small stream and from my kayak in a lake.
